Intel® Server Board SE7520JR2
Microsoft Windows* installation driver loading issue with USB disk on the key

Issue
When using a USB Disk On the Key (DOK) to load the SATA/SCSI RAID driver during Microsoft Windows* 2000 SP4 and Microsoft Windows* 2003 installation (pressing <F6> to load the driver), there will be an error message that Windows can not find the floppy drive.

Implication
Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 and Microsoft Windows 2003 loads 3rd party drivers only from a floppy drive during the installation. The USB DOK is only recognized as a hard drive by Windows no matter how the BIOS was set.

Workaround
Since the floppy drive is an option of Intel® Server Chassis SR1400 and Intel® Server Chassis SR2400, Intel recommends that the customer use a tested USB floppy drive.

Operating System:
Windows* 2000, Windows Server* 2003, Windows* 2000 Server, Windows* 2000 Advanced Server, Windows Server* 2003 Standard Edition

This applies to:
Intel® Server Board SE7520JR2
Intel® Server Chassis SR1400
Intel® Server Chassis SR2400
