System Does Not Boot or Show Video at Power-On

Common problem and solutions in the event that the Intel® Server Board SE7320SP2 and SE7525GP2 does not boot or show video at power-on

  1. Check that the +12V CPU power connectors is plugged in. Without this cable the processor will not have any power.
  2. If configuring with only one processor, verify that the processor is in the Primary Processor socket (CPU 1).
  3. Remove and replace memory modules one bank at a time to isolate which one may be causing the problem.
  4. Remember important memory requirements
    Must be:
    • Registered DDR 266 or 333 MHz only
    • Same speed memory modules
    • From same manufacturer
    • Installed beginning with DIMM slot 1B
    • Installed with no empty slots between filled slots
  5. Your power supply must provide a minimum of 600 watts with 2 amp standby power, which complies with the SSI EPS 12V specification.

This applies to:
Intel® Server Board SE7320SP2
Intel® Server Board SE7525GP2
