The Intel® Entry Server Board SE7210TP1-E is equipped with 6 system and 1 processor fan headers. When installing your server board into the Intel® Server Chassis SC5200 (BRP) or Intel® Entry Server Chassis SC5250-E it is important to select the correct fan headers. Failure to connect the fans to the appropriate fan header will result in fan alerts logged into the System Event Log, and (if used) result in alerts using Intel® Server Management.
Before beginning make sure the server board has the latest BIOS revision and latest FRU/SDR firmware revision.
Table below provides the proper fan header selection when using the Intel® Server Chassis SC5200 (BRP) and Intel® Entry Server Chassis SC5250-E. Also refer to the Quick Start User's Guide for additional information

Important Message:
System Fan headers are located on this server board in pairs. These pairs include system fan header 1 & 2, 3 & 4, and 5 & 6. When connecting a system fan to this server board, be certain to connect to the lower number of the pair first. For example, the rear fan for Intel® Entry Server Chassis SC5250-E must be connected to system fan header 3. If the fan is connected to system fan header 4, and system fan header 3 is unused the baseboard management controller may report system fan header 3 with a fan failure.
Intel® Server Chassis SC5200 (Base Redundant Power) only:
The "foam EPAC" in the Intel® Server Chassis SC5200 contains two fans. The bottom fan must be reconfigured to accommodate the Intel® Entry Server Board SE7210TP1-E fan header locations. Refer to the Quick Start User's Guide for reconfiguration instructions.
