Windows* 2003 Hanging At 34 or 37 Minute Mark

Symptom(s):
Windows* 2003 hangs at the 34 or 37 minute mark during the installation process.

Cause:

Some drive models do not respond properly when a LUN number is returned during drive query.  The drive models are not available.  However, the root cause is a bug in the Adaptec CHIM code which is in the SRCZCR firmware code.

Solution:

Using the FW 2.34.09-R05C from the global release 1.5.16 can resolve the Windows* 2003 installation issue.  It has been validated on the following Intel® Server Boards and Intel® RAID Controllers:

Intel® Server Board SE7501HG2
Intel® Server Board SE7501BR2
Intel® RAID Controller SRCU32
Intel® RAID Controller SRCU42L
Intel® RAID Controller SRCZCR

Here are the updated firmware files:

Operating System:
Windows Server 2003 *

This applies to:
Intel® RAID Controller SRCU32
Intel® RAID Controller SRCU42L
Intel® RAID Controller SRCZCR
