Hard drive partitioning issue while installing Windows 7 64Bit Edition

Issue Description: 


 - Issue seen especially when Windows 7 installtion is done through a bootable USB Drive
 - OS detects 2 partitions. One is of default 100 MB and the other shows the size of the hard drive.
 - While partitioning the HDD the system does not allow to select the Hard Drive.

Issue Resolution:

 - Restart the system and enter the CMOS Setup.
 - Change the Boot Priority option to Hard Disk as the Primary Boot Device.
 - Reset the BIOS to Defaults.

Cause:

 - Usually observed when the USB device is set as the First Boot Device.
