- Download the latest flash (firmware) package or command line tool for the RAID controller you are using (zip file) – The file to download can be found on the Download Center webpage for each supported Intel® RAID Controller
- Extract from the downloaded package the CmdTool2 utility for the operating system you are using (DOS, Linux*, Solaris*, UEFI*, Windows*)
- Check the release notes (txt) for installation instructions (these change depending on the OS you are using). This document also contains all the supported options in CmdTool2.
From the command/shell prompt, run the command
CmdTool2 –AdpAliLog –aAll –NoLog > saslog.txt
This will create and save the file saslog.txt which contains the full RAID log.
- Send the saved saslog.txt to Intel for analysis
Please check the Intel® RAID basic troubleshooting guide (PDF). Alternatively, Intel® RAID troubleshooting wizard provides an interactive troubleshooting tool.
