The migration to the hotspare is taking a long time – What should I do?
Depending on the size of storage pool, size of hard drives, RAID array configuration and data traffic/activity on the modules, a migration to the hotspare may take several hours or even up to days to finish successfully. A migration typically runs approximately 10GB per hour. Disk activity will affect the migration performance.
In rare circumstances, the migration may hang (e.g. hotspare drive failed). You can verify that the migration is taking place by clicking on the tab “ background tasks ” in the front view of chassis and clicking on the failed drive. The progress will be visible in the system information report which can be found under Reports > Diagnostics > Tests > System information report.
There is no way to halt a migration, once it has been started.
If there is no progress over a period of several hours and the migration appears to be stuck at a certain percentage, please contact Intel® customer support in your region for further assistance.
