When updating the FRU/SDR, you may see an error message:
Processing FRU file .\BC_BMC.fru....
Error: Invalid FRU header area in System FRUID(0) Addr(20) AlaveAddr(20) Bus(FF).
If you continue the update, another error message appears:
Front Plane Temperature sensor not found. Fan Speed Control (FSC) will not work properly without this sensor
To solve this issue, you need to update to FRU/SDR R16. Download FRU/SDR R16 update package for SR1630BC.
Ensure BMC release 40 and BIOS 38 are pre-installed before attempting this FRU/SDR update. Download BMC 40 and BIOS 38 update package for SR1630BC.
These newer releases will correctly update FRU/SDR.
