1. Select components using Intel® Server Configurator Tool or Configuration Guide.

2. Choose a Supported Processor. Also check Important information on support of Intel® Xeon® processor 3200 series.

3. Choose Tested Memory, Tested Hard Drive, Reference Chassis and Tested Hardware and Operating System.

4. Hardware integration. Follow the S3000AH Quick Start Guide. If you're using Intel® Entry Server Chassis SC5295-E or SC5299-E, also follow the SC5295-E or SC5299-E Quick Start Guide. Follow the instructions when Using S3000AH with Intel® Entry Server Chassis SC5299DP and SC5299BRP.

5. Update BIOS. You can choose either BIOS Update Package for DOS or BIOS Update Package for the Intel® Deployment Assistant and Intel® One-boot Flash Utility. Follow the instructions on the download page.

6. Configure RAID (if applicable). You may choose between Intel® Matrix Storage Manager or Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology (LSI* OpROM).

   • If using Intel® Matrix Storage Manager, follow these instructions.

   • If using Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology, follow the User's Guide.

7. OS installation. Check Software & drivers for required storage drivers for supported OS. See the readme file or Release Notes included in the driver package for installation instructions.

8. Post-OS driver installation. Depend on your OS, you might need to load chipset driver, video driver, network driver and backplane driver. Follow the instructions on the download page.
