Which document/resource do I use to integrate a S3200SH based system?

  1. Select components using Intel® Server Configurator Tool or Configuration Guide.

  2. Choose a Supported Processor.

  3. Choose Tested MemoryTested Hard Drive and Tested Hardware and Operating System.

  4. Hardware integration. Follow the S3200SH Quick Start Guide. If you're using Intel® Entry Server Chassis SC5299-E, also follow the SC5299-E Quick Start Guide. Follow the instructions when Using S3200SH with Intel® Entry Server Chassis SC5299DP and SC5299BRP.

  5. Update BIOS/Firmware. The Firmware package may be used with Intel® Deployment Assistant, Intel® One-boot Flash Utility, Intel® embedded EFI shell and Microsoft Windows* Preboot Execution Environment (WinPE). Follow the instructions on the download page.

  6. Configure RAID (if applicable). You may choose between Intel® Matrix Storage Manager or Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology II.

    • If using Intel® Matrix Storage Manager, follow the Quick Start Guide.
    • If using Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology II, follow the instructions in RAID Software User Guide. See chapter 5 for Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology II (Software RAID).

  7. OS installation. Check Software & drivers for required storage drivers for supported OS. See the readme file or Release Notes included in the driver package for installation instructions.

  8. Post-OS driver installation. Depend on your OS, you might need to load chipset driver, video driver, network driver and backplane driver. Follow the instructions on the download page.
