Intel® RAID controller SASUC8I
Intel® RAID controller FALSASMP2 (Intel® Server Board S5000PAL systems optional accessory)

Integrated RAID (IR) RAID Volume Creation Limitation of 2 Terra Bytes when configuring a volume with the EFI Boot Services Driver (BSD) version 3.10.00.

Description:
Intel has identified an issue with the EFI BSD version 3.10.00 Configuration Utility where the utility cannot create RAID volumes larger than 2 Terabytes. Volumes larger than 2TB can be created in using the LSI MPT SAS BIOS configuration utility* by pressing Ctrl+C during the server system POST or within the operating system using RAID Web Console 2 Utility. The EFI BSD will then support these volumes, and the Operating System  and OS Disk Management utilities will detect and manage the volume sizes correctly.

Corrective Action / Resolution:
EFI BSD version 3.10.00 is affected, the issue will be fixed in future version MPT BIOS.

This applies to:
