RAID Controller revision requirements for installation into PCI-E GEN 2 slot

Early revisions of Intel® RAID Controllers SRCSASJV, SRCSASRB and SRCSATAWB are designed to adhere to the PCI Express Specification Revision 1.0a. The early revisions are incompatible with PCI Express Specification Revision 2.

Later revisions of these controllers are compatible with PCI Express Specification, Revision 2.

The symptom of using a PCI-E Gen 1 controller in a PCI-E Gen 2 slot are the system failing to detect the controller.

The table below lists the RAID controller revision requirements for PCI-E GEN 1a and PCI-E GEN 2 slots.
