In order to support the new Intel® Xeon® processors based on 45nm technology, Intel will be updating its current lineup of Intel® Server Boards and Intel® Server Systems based on the Intel® 5000 Chipset.
With this update Intel will be changing the product codes of the affected Intel® Server Boards and Systems to allow customers to easily identify which products support both the new 45nm-based products as well as the existing Intel® Xeon® 5000, 5100, and 5300 series processors.
