The Intel® Entry Server Board SE7230NH1 and Intel® Server Board S3000AH have an integrated Intel® 82573E Gigabit Ethernet controller supporting 1000BASE-T and an integrated Intel® 82541PI Gigabit Ethernet controller supporting 1000BASE-T.
If attempting to team the two network connections, the following error is displayed:
"At least one Intel server adapter is required to create the team"
This is the standard error message displayed by Intel® ProSet for Microsoft Windows* Device Manager, if ProSet is unable to create a team with either a network interface card or a LAN on motherboard.
In this case the message is displayed since the integrated Intel 82573E Gigabit Ethernet controller supports Intel® Active Management Technology and can therefore not be part of an adapter team. The two technologies are not compatible. In order to create an adapter team, an additional Intel network interface card must be installed. The team can then be created by using the integrated Intel 82451PI Gigabit Ethernet controller and the network interface card.
