The Intel® Server Platforms SR4850HW4 and SR6850HW4 have an onboard dual-port Broadcom* BCM5704 NetXtreme* Gigabit Ethernet controller.
This controller supports advanced features such as link aggregation between the ports and VLAN's.
In order to configure these advanced features, you will need to install the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite* (BACS) which is included on the server board resource CD in \Utilities\BACS. Next to advanced configuration options, the utility also allows for some diagnostics of the ethernet controller.
This utility is supported in Windows* 2003 32-bit and Intel® 64 version.
Once installed, the utility will be accessible from the Windows Control Panel (Broadcom NetXtreme* Gigabit Ethernet icon) from where you can configure the NICs.
