Intel® Entry Server Board S875WP1-E
Memory Support & Configuration Consideration

The Intel® Server Board S875WP1-E supports both ECC and Non ECC Unbuffered PC2100 (266 MHz), PC2700 (333 MHz), or PC3200 (400 MHz) compliant Double Data Rate (DDR) memory modules. Dual channel memory functionality requires two DIMM modules installed into DIMM sockets 1A & 1B, and then DIMM sockets 2A & 2B. The DIMM module size, speed and vendor must be the same.

You can install a single 128 MB memory module into DIMM socket 1A. The minimum supported memory size is 128 MB. The minimum main memory configuration is a single 128 MB memory module, and the maximum configurable memory size is 4GB. With only a single memory module installed, the system will only operate using a one memory channel.

Note: Intel does not recommend or support mixing of memory types on the Intel Server Board S875WP1-E. Functionality issues may be encountered if mixed memory types are installed. DIMM modules of identical type, banking & stacking technology, and vendor should be installed in the Intel Server Board S875WP1-E.

Refer to the Technical Product Specification for additional memory installation and configuration specifications.
