The Intel® Server System SR1600UR; SR1625UR; SR2600UR and SR2625UR Family comes with DIMM blanks (see image below) pre-installed on the DIMM slots.
In order to maintain adequate thermal levels, the DIMM blanks must be installed in the appropriate DIMM slots described below.
- If using a single processor, all CPU 1 DIMM slots must either have a DIMM or DIMM blank installed. The CPU 2 DIMM slots can be empty or can be used to store extra DIMM blanks in the blue DIMM slots.
- If using two processors, all blue DIMM slots on CPU 1 and CPU 2 must either have a DIMM or DIMM blank installed.
Save all unused DIMM blanks for future use.
