The board or system may hang on "Entering SETUP . . ." if only one Boot Option is enabled, and that device is physically removed.
For example, if Boot Option #1 is set to a hard drive, Boot Option #2 and #3 are set to [Disabled], and the system is shut down and that hard drive is removed, the system will not be able to boot into the BIOS.
To resolve this issue:
- Temporarily connect a USB device. This will add another item Boot Options, and allow you back in.
- Clear the CMOS using jumper J1D3. This will reset Boot Options back to the factory defaults.
To keep the issue from recurring:
- Do not remove devices that are set as the only Boot Option.
- Leave [EFI Shell] as one of the Boot Options.
