After making a change in the BIOS to the Intel® Virtualization Technology setting, the system may beep with a sequence 1-5-4-2 during the reboot.
This behavior is expected and does not signal a fault. To enable or disable the Intel® Virtualization Technology in the BIOS, the system needs a full power cycle, meaning that it must be turned off using the power button and then turned on again. The usual warm boot after making a BIOS change is seen as an abnormal power event, if the Intel® VT setting has been changed, which triggers the 1-5-4-2 beep code and is written to the SEL (server event log).
Once the system has been turned off using the power button and then restarted, it will boot normally and the change made to the Intel® VT setting in the BIOS is applied.
This issue is fixed with BIOS 40 or later http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18800
