The function of the PBC is to monitor processor voltage levels, processor thermal trip, and internal error signals.
The electrical implementation and PBC terminology were mirrored from the Intel® B440FX DP Server product (which uses a processor board to hold dual Intel® Pentium® Pro processors). There is no processor board on the Intel® R440LX DP Server; the Slot 1 connectors are located on the motherboard.
