2.5" SSD and SATA hard drives are now supported on MFSYS25. Following are the requirements:
- The AXXTM3SATA accessory (MM# 903639) must be used
- SATA drives must use the new MFSYS25 chassis (MM# 902318, TA# D91400-008 or greater)
- or -
You must purchase the new power supplies (MM# 902463, Part# D73299-007) and IO fan module (MM# 899168, Part# D91260-005), if not using the MFSYS25 TA# D91400-008 or greater
The AXXTM3SATA board and bracket assembly must be attached to a 2.5" Solid State Drive (SSD) or a 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive before the drive can be used with the Intel® Modular Server System MFSYS25. This effectively converts the single port SATA interface into a dual port SAS interface and is done so the drive can be accessed by both storage control modules if they are installed. It also changes the activity LEDs to match the behavior of SAS hard drives.
