Intel® T440BX server boards support Intel® Pentium®
II processors with a 100 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) and
running internally at 350, 400 or 450 MHz with 512 KB of integrated L2 cache. All T440BX boards also can be used with the 266, 300 and 333 MHz Pentium II processors, which have a 66 MHz system bus.
Intel® Pentium® III Processor Support (up to 600 MHz: see special note below)
The
Intel® Pentium® III processor is supported only on the following versions of the T440BX server board:
*The TA code is found on the manufacturer's product identification sticker which is on the side of the original shipping box.

The processor type and speed are automatically detected by the BIOS. For optimal performance, Intel strongly recommends using processors with ECC L2 cache in the server environment.
Important! The following table lists the speeds of the Pentium® III processor that are NOT supported on any version of the T440BX server board:
