The Intel® Server Board SHG2 is designed to address up to 12GB of memory Registered ECC DDR200 or DDR266 SDRAM memory using 2GB memory modules. To date, Intel has not been able to complete 2GB memory validation due to thermal issues associated with these parts. Therefore, 2GB modules are not currently validated on this server board; the recommended maximum memory is 6GB.
The following memory features are supported:
- Memory installation occurs in pairs (1A/1B, 2A/2B, 3A/3B) and DIMMs within each pair need to be the same size and vendor.
- DDR200 and DDR266 registered ECC compatible 2.5V modules (in compliance with the DDR JEDEC DIMM Specification).
- DIMMs with capacity of 128MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1G.
- Minimum configuration is 256MB using two 128MB DIMMs.
