AGP graphics cards support limitations

The AGP connector installed on the Intel® desktop boards listed below is keyed for 1.5V and 0.8V AGP cards only, and only supports AGP Graphics cards at 4X and 8X speeds.

The AGP connector is not mechanically compatible with 3.3V AGP cards. To some the 1.5V and 0.8V AGP connector might appear backwards because the connector key is exactly the opposite of the 3.3V AGP connector.

AGP is an effective interface for graphics-intensive applications, such as 3D applications. Based on the AGP Local Bus Specification, revision 2.1, AGP is independent of the PCI Bus and is intended for exclusive use with graphical display devices.
