The AA (or Altered Assembly) number is a 9-digit Intel part number used to differentiate between desktop board families, different configurations within a family, as well as revision history of the desktop board.
A small barcode label, similar to the diagram shown below, is found on the component side of the Intel® Desktop Board. The numbers following the letters "AA" can help identify the type and version of your Intel Desktop Board.
