Intel discovered a quality issue between Intel® Desktop Boards and certain low-profile DIMMs, that results in these observed issues:
- Computer does not boot (hangs at POST code E0, 27, or 2E)
- Computer has random lock up issues in the operating system if left unattended
- Computer randomly reboots itself
During internal testing, and working with memory vendors, results indicated that the board and low-profile DIMMs were not outside of specifications. Because of the observed issues, Intel does not recommend using low-profile DIMMs with Intel Desktop Boards.
