Errors on Other Devices and Ports in Device Manager

Consumer infrared is not supported in Windows XP*. If your board has the consumer infrared feature enabled, but you are running Microsoft Windows XP*, two devices can have errors on them.

Verify that you have installed the Intel® Chipset Device Software and the latest drivers for your Intel® Desktop Board. These can be found on Download Center.

After verifying you have the latest drivers, disable consumer infrared:

  1. Reboot your system and press F2. Enter the BIOS setup utility when prompted.
  2. Select Advanced > Peripheral Configuration and change the Consumer IR setting to Disable.
  3. Press F10 to save changes and restart your system.
