To set a hard disk drive password on a Next Unit of Computing product:

1. During boot, press F2 to enter BIOS Setup.
2. On the Security menu, set the hard disk drive password.
3. Press F10 to save and exit.
4. During POST, power off the system.
5. Remove the AC power cord from the system.
6. Reconnect AC power.
7. Turn on the system.

The hard disk drive password prompt displays at boot.

To change a hard drive password:

1. During boot, press F2 to enter BIOS Setup.
2. On the security menu, change the hard disk drive password.
3. Press F10 to save and exit.
4. During POST, power off the system.
5. Remove the AC power cord from the system.
6. Reconnect AC power.
7. Turn on the system.

To remove a hard drive password:

1. During boot, press F2 to enter BIOS Setup.
2. On the security menu, clear the hard disk drive password.
3. Press F10 to save and exit.
4. During POST, power off the system.
5. Remove the AC power cord from the system.
6. Reconnect AC power.
7. Turn on the system.

The password prompt should no longer display at boot.
