Intel® Desktop Board DQ57TM
TPM NVRAM errors

Some of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Non-Volatile RAM (NVRAM) on Intel® Desktop Board DQ57TM might not have the Permanent Flag “nvLocked” set. These boards are identified by AA numbers E70931-303 and E70931-400.

Implications
DQ57TM boards are identified by AA numbers E70931-303 and E70931-400:

  • The Intel® Brand Verification Tool (Intel® BVT) might fail one of the TPM tests, TPM NVM Locked.
  • Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT) might not launch.

All DQ57TM boards built on or after March 15, 2010 (AA numbers E70931-401 and greater) have the TPM NVRAM Permanent Flag “nvLocked” set.

Solution
For affected DQ57TM boards, update the system BIOS to version 0032 or later. BIOS updates are available on Download Center.
