Important Memory and System Bus Speed Considerations

The Intel® Desktop Board D865GVHZ supports three system bus speeds and three memory speeds. It is important to understand that not all system memory speeds are supported at all system bus speeds. In the table below, is a list of available system bus speeds and memory speeds capable.

System Bus & Memory Speeds

Notes:
1 To minimize system latencies and optimize system performance 333 MHz DDR memory is clocked at 320 MHz when using an Intel® processor with an 800 MHz system bus speed.

2 To minimize system latencies and optimize system performance 400 MHz DDR memory is clocked at 333 MHz when using an Intel processor with a 533 MHz system bus speed.  Some memory modules may not work properly in this configuration.

3 To minimize system latencies and optimize system performance 333 MHz DDR memory is clocked at 266 MHz when using an Intel processor with a 400 MHz system bus speed.  Some memory modules may not work properly in this configuration.

4 To minimize system latencies and optimize system performance 400 MHz DDR memory is clocked at 266 MHz when using an Intel processor with a 400 MHz system bus speed.  Some memory modules may not work properly in this configuration.
