There are several beep codes listed below that may indicate an issue has occurred during POST. Several of these have to do with RAM. Check to ensure that system memory and all necessary continuity RIMM* modules are properly installed and that the RIMM modules are on the Intel® Desktop Board D850GB tested-memory list.
Beep Codes
- Refresh failure
- Parity cannot be reset
- First 64 KB memory failure
- Timer not operational
- Not used
- 8042 GateA20 cannot be toggled
- Exception interrupt error
- Display memory R/W error
- Not used
- CMOS Shutdown register test error
- Invalid BIOS (e.g. POST module not found, etc.)
