System memory

System memory features
The Desktop Board D845GVSR has two DIMM sockets and supports the following memory features:

2.5V (only) 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
Unbuffered, single-sided, or double-sided DIMMs
Maximum total system memory: 2 GB; minimum total system memory: 64 MB
DDR333/266/200 MHz SDRAM DIMMs only
Serial Presence Detect (SPD)
Suspend to RAM

Caution

Do not use ECC DIMMs with this board. Using ECC DIMMs could damage the board.

Integrator notes:

Registered DIMMs are not supported.
Double-sided x16 DIMMs are not supported.

Note

To be fully compliant with applicable DDR SDRAM memory specifications, the board should have DIMMs supporting the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data structure. This structure allows the BIOS to read the SPD data and program the chipset to accurately configure memory settings for optimum performance.

Third-party tested memory*
Intel offers environmental test procedures, test software, and necessary hardware for the independent test lab to perform advanced testing as requested by the memory vendors. Memory listed is tested by Computer Memory Test Labs (CMTL).

Internal tested memory
Intel's has a limited amount of memory tested for the desktop board. These part numbers might not be readily available throughout the product life cycle.
