Intel® Desktop Board D845GVAD2 has been updated to support DDR333 memory with Pentium® 4 processors with 533 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB). This updated board does not support DDR200 memory with 533 MHz FSB processor. DDR333 memory will run at DDR266 memory speeds when using a processor with 400 MHz FSB.
The below table illustrates the speed at which the memory will operator when integrated with processor configurations.
| | DDR333 Memory | DDR266 Memory | DDR200 Memory | | Pentium® 4 processors with 533 MHz FSB. | Supported | Supported | Not Supported | | Pentium 4 processors with 400 MHz FSB. | Runs at DDR266 | Supported | Supported | | Intel® Celeron® processor with 400 MHz FSB | Runs at DDR266 | Supported | Supported |

The below table illustrates the AA# that is associated with the memory support.
| AA# | Memory Support | | C18931-104 and higher | DDR333/266/200 | | C18934-106 and higher | DDR333/266/200 | | C18931-103 and lower | DDR266/200 | | C18934-105 and lower | DDR266/200 |

The updated version of the no-LAN desktop board can be identified with an AA# of -104 (i.e. C18931-104) or higher. The updated version of the LAN desktop board can be identified with an AA# of -106 (i.e. C18934-106) or higher. The sticker on the front of the retail box skus has been updated to indicate DDR333 memory support with 533-MHz FSB processors. A sticker will not be added to the KPAK10 or bulk skus.
DDR333 Memory DDR333 memory has been validated on the Desktop Board D845GVAD2 when using a Intel ® Pentium® 4 Processor with 533 MHz system bus. Memory Capacity: Two 184-pin DIMM connectors supporting up to two double sided DIMMs, for a maximum of 2 GB of memory based on 512Mb technology.

Notes: The Desktop Board D845GVAD2 has been designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology up to 2 GB, but this technology has not been validated on this board. All memory components and DIMMs used with the desktop board must comply with the PC SDRAM specifications. These include the PCSDRAM Specification (memory component specific), the PC Unbuffered DIMM Specification. To view or download these specifications, refer to this Intel World Wide Web site: http://www.intel.com/technology/memory/
For information about vendors that support these memory requirements refer to the Desktop Board D845GVAD2 link on this Intel World Wide Web site: http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/
