Memory testing is conducted under the following categories:
Advanced tested memory* Intel sends the environmental test procedures, test software, and necessary hardware to an independent test lab to perform advanced testing as requested by the memory vendors.
Memory testing is by Computer Memory Test Labs (CMTL).
Intel internal tested memory Intel tests a limited amount of memory for the desktop board. These part numbers might not be readily available throughout the product life cycle.
System memory features
The D845GBV board has the following memory features:
- Two DIMM sockets supporting 2.5V (only) 184-pin 200/266 MHz Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
- Unbuffered non-ECC DIMMs only
- Maximum total system memory: 2 GB; minimum total system memory: 64 MB
- Serial Presence Detect (SPD) DIMMs only
- Suspend to RAM
Caution |
ECC DIMMs should not be used with the D845GBV Board. Using ECC DIMMs could damage the desktop board.
Integrator's Notes:
- Registered DIMMs are not supported on the D845GBV board.
- Remove the AGP video card before installing or upgrading memory to avoid interference with the memory retention mechanism.
- This board is designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology for a maximum capacity of up to 2 GB. This technology has not been validated on this board.
| Note |
To be fully compliant with applicable DDR SDRAM and PCI33 SDRAM memory specifications, the board should have DIMMs supporting the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data structure. This structure allows the BIOS to read the SPD data and program the chipset to accurately configure memory settings for optimum performance.
The following table lists the supported DDR DIMM configurations.
