Introduction The file system on the Storage Station was created for use with North American (English) only. If you have to get around this issue you will have best results editing files or folders using Windows NT* workstation. Using extended character sets will result in a variety of errors that include inability to open or delete file or folders. See the following discussion for specific results using Windows* NT and 98.

Not possible to create a share folder with extended characters i.e.: DéjàVu (D - ALT 130 - j - ALT 133 - V - u) from the Storage Station Administrator Web page.
It's possible to create the folder from Windows Explorer*, however the 2 extended characters appears as | from the Storage Station Administrator Web page.
It is possible to delete or rename such a folder from the Storage Station Administrator Web page or Windows* Explorer.

Using Microsoft Office 97 SR2 applications can save and open files with extended characters. Windows* 98 Second Edition 4.10.222 A - Office 97 SR2
- Folders
