If you want to add or change a modem, change any ISP information, or set up for an ISDN line, you can run the Setup Wizard.
To change modem or ISP settings
- Open your Web browser and browse to:
http://istation.my-office.com
- Alternatively, browse to the unit, using it's IP address. Eg:
http://192.168.42.254
- Click the Setup Wizard button.
Backing up Internet Station settings Before you make any changes to any setting on the Internet Station, save your current settings.
To back up Internet Station settings
- From the Internet Station Home page, select Tools.
- Select the Backup Settings option.
- Click the Back Up Current Settings button.
If you make changes to settings and realize you have configured something incorrectly, use the Restore button on this page to restore the settings to those at the time of the last backup.
Setting a password You can protect your Internet Station configuration by setting a password. (After you set a password, it is required to change any settings in the Setup Wizard or under Security, and to update the Internet Station using FTP).
To set a password
- From the Internet Station Home page, select Tools.
- Select the Security option.
- Tick the box to Enable Internet Station Security.
- Enter a username and password.
- Click Submit.
Setting the Internet Station clock The Internet Station uses an internal clock to record times in the Activity Log. To set the clock:
- From the Internet Station Home page, select Tools.
- Select the Date and Time option.
- Enter the correct date, time and time zone settings.
- Click Submit.
Setting the Idle timeout The idle timeout is the number of minutes the Internet Station waits while the connection is inactive before it disconnects from the ISP. To change the timeout:
- From the Internet Station Home page, select Manage Connection.
- Select the PPP Settings option.
- Enter a value in seconds for Idle Timeout and click Submit. If you don't want to auto-disconnect, enter 0.
Resetting the Internet Station to default settings The Reset Internet Station button resets the Internet Station to the factory defaults.
- From the Internet Station Home page, select Tools.
- Select the Factory Defaults option.
- Click the Reset Internet Station button on the right hand side
- When asked if you want to proceed and lose your settings, click OK.
Note: Resetting the Internet Station to factory defaults does not erase the settings saved when you click the Backup button. If you can't reach the Internet Station from your browser You can reset the Internet Station to factory defaults using the Reset button, accessible through the small hole in the back panel.
- Turn off the Internet Station power.
- Insert a small screwdriver or pen through the hole, press, and hold the reset button.
Warning: All setting and ISP information will be lost
- Turn on the power and continue to hold the button in for twenty seconds.
