The Internet Station can use an ISDN PC Card or external terminal adapter. You can use only one ISDN connection with the Internet Station. You can use ISDN only for Internet access and not for modem sharing.
ISDN parameters are provided by your telephone company, except for Rate Adaptation, which is provided by the manufacturer of your ISDN terminal adapter. The Rate Adaptation sets the terminal adapter to talk at a specific rate and protocol. The Internet Station has predefined profiles for use with each supported vendor's adapter including both single and dual channel (MultiLink) modes. This information is available from your ISDN provider.
To set up the Internet Station for use with ISDN
- Turn off the power on the Internet Station and attach your ISDN terminal adapter to a PC Card slot or serial port. Then turn on the power.
- Open your Web browser and browse to:
http://istation.myoffice.com
- Click the Setup Wizard button.
- Make sure that the Internet Station has detected the presence of the ISDN terminal adapter in the Port Configuration Page or Setup Wizard. If it is not detected, see the Compatibility List.
- Allocate the port with the ISDN terminal adapter as the Shared Internet Access resource.
- Make sure that you have an ISP profile entered (your ISP must also support ISDN connections).
- On the ISDN setup page, fill in the ISDN parameters, Switch Type, and Rate preference.
- Finish the Setup Wizard and dial the ISP using the Dial button on the Status page.
