The Windows* login screen may abnormally reduce in size and relocate to the far left corner of the screen, as shown in the figure below, after an analog monitor is unplugged and the laptop resumes from Standby or Hibernate state (S3 or S4). Screen is back to normal after logging into Windows.
This issue is resolved with the latest graphics driver.
To check whether a newer graphics driver is available for your graphics controller, use the Intel® Driver Update Utility. If the online utility displays a message that a customized graphics driver is detected, click here for additional information.
