Green or black video when playing an MPEG2 movie

Description

When a video player application tries to play an MPEG2 movie, green or black video may be displayed. This experience occurs with applications that try to play the MPEG2 movie in IDCT mode. Inverse Discrete Cosine Transform, or IDCT, is one of the stages of decoding MPEG2 video.

Solution

This issue is resolved with the latest graphics driver.

To check whether a newer graphics driver is available for your graphics controller, use the Intel® Driver Update Utility. If the online utility displays a message that a customized graphics driver is detected, go to the Customized computer manufacturer graphics driver is detected page.
