Description
The display refresh rate setting may change, a black screen or on-screen distortion may be seen during these conditions:
- After closing and re-opening the laptop’s lid, or
- After disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor while the graphics driver is set to Intel® Dual Display Clone mode.
Solution
This is a known issue with older versions of the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver. Use the latest version of the Intel® graphics driver to correct this issue. Refer to the Intel graphics driver ReadMe file for driver installation instructions as needed.
If you encounter a blank screen or display distortion, reboot the computer and then install the latest graphics driver.
