Using the chipset name to determine the graphics controller

The Intel® Chipset Identification Utility provides an easy way to identify the specific Intel chipset that is located on your motherboard.

Intel® Chipset Identification Utility

Some chipsets have the graphics controller built into the chipset. After using the Intel Chipset Identification utility to identify your chipset, you can determine the integrated graphics controller using the table below. The first column lists the chipsets identified by the Intel Chipset Identification Utility. Only those chipsets that this utility currently identifies are listed.

Note: Some systems with a chipset that has an integrated graphics controller may use a third party video card and have disabled the integrated graphics controller. In these cases, use alternate method to determine the graphics controller or contact your computer manufacturer for information about your computer's specific configuration.
