The Intel® 845G, 845GE, and 865G chipsets support adding either a PCI or an AGP video card. The Intel 845GL, 845GV and 865GV chipsets support adding only a PCI video card. The motherboard manufacturer may impose additional restrictions on add-in card support.
If an AGP video card is installed, the integrated graphics of the chipset will be automatically disabled.
If a PCI video card is installed, the integrated graphics will remain enabled unless the motherboard supports manually disabling the onboard graphics in the BIOS setup. On most systems, the BIOS setup can be used to set the PCI video card to be the primary graphics adapter. Since Windows* 98 and later versions of Windows are designed to allow more than one video card enabled, having both graphics adapters enabled should not pose a problem.
