Software DVD* and hardware motion compensation support

Solution:
The built-in graphics controller of the Intel® 810/810E/815/815E chipsets support hardware motion compensation (HWMC) for improved DVD* performance. To use the hardware motion compensation, you will need to use a software DVD player that supports the Intel® HWMC API or the Microsoft* DXVA (DirectX* Video Acceleration) API. The PV 6.3.1 and later graphics drivers are required for DXVA support.

Contact the distributor of your software DVD player to find out if the version of the player that you have supports one of these API's. Here is a partial list of software DVD player vendors that have player versions that support one or both of these API's:

Intervideo*
MGI Soft*
Ravisent*
Cyberlink*

Operating System:
Windows 95 OSR 2.x*, Windows 98 *, Windows 98 SE*, Windows 2000 *, Windows Me*

This applies to:
Intel® 82810 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH)
Intel® 82815 Graphics Controller
