- OpenGL* 3D screensavers run slowly.
- The screensavers ran faster with older graphics drivers.
Hardware acceleration for OpenGL* screensavers was disabled in the PV 5.1 and later graphics drivers because of compatibility issues with a number of third party OpenGL screensavers. Disabling hardware acceleration should reduce the possibility of system lockups or crashes while these screen savers are enabled. This graphics driver change should not prevent these screen savers from running, but reduced rendering speed may be seen. This does not affect OpenGL-based games or general applications.
Use the latest Intel(R) graphics driver to correct this issue. Refer to the driver README file for installation instructions as needed.
