Symptom(s):
Bird Hunter 2003* game has graphical corruption when the gun is out.

Cause:

The application is using an OpenGL* extension called the 'clip volume hint'.  This extension allows an application to make a promise to the driver that it will not be sending the driver any polygons that need to be clipped to screen boundaries.  However, the application does send polygons that require clipping.  This produces the very noticeable corruption.

Solution:

To disable the 'clip volume hint' and fix the most visible corruption:

1. Launch the game.
2. Press the tilde key ('~') to bring up the console.
3. Type:
   gap_iOptimizeClipping=1
4. Press [enter], then press the tilde key again to exit the console.

Additionally, installing the PV 12.0 (or later) graphics drivers will fix some additional corruption that is visible in this game with some configurations.
