To identify the version of the graphics driver on your computer, use one of the following:
Intel® Driver Update Utility See the Intel Driver Update Utility to identify the graphics controller product for your computer, the currently installed driver version, and the latest driver available for download. If the utility detects a customized computer manufacturer driver, see the custom graphics driver information.
Check the graphics driver version in Microsoft Windows Vista* or Windows 7* Use one of the following methods:
- Right-click on the desktop.
- Select Graphics Properties. The Intel® graphics driver window opens.

If the Graphic Properties option is not available, then your computer is not using an Intel Graphics Controller or an Intel graphics driver. | |
- Click Options & Support and then Information Center. The driver version is listed under the System Information drop-down menu. If you have older graphics driver, click the Information button at bottom left corner. Or, click the button
in the upper right corner of the window. On the System tab, the graphics driver version is listed in the Driver Version field. Check Windows Device Manager
- Click the Start button on the Windows Vista taskbar.
- Select Control Panel and a window opens.
- Double-click System and the System Properties window opens.
If System is not listed, click Classic View in the left navigation bar and then double-click System.
- Select Device Manager listed in the left navigation bar. The Device Manager window opens.
- Click on the + icon shown in front of the Display adapters icon to expand this section.
- Select and double-click the display adapter with the Intel name. If more than one display adapter is listed, double-click the first one. The Properties window opens.

If Intel is not listed in the display adapter name, your computer does not have an Intel graphics driver or graphics controller installed. | |
- Select the Driver tab. On the Driver tab, the version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

Check the graphics driver version in Microsoft Windows XP* or Windows 2000*
Use one of the following methods: Check the Intel® graphics driver tab (View video tutorial.)
- Right-click the desktop.
- Select Graphics Properties... The Intel® graphics driver window opens.

If the Graphic Properties option is not available, an Intel graphics driver is not installed on your computer or your computer does not use an Intel® graphics controller. | |
- Click on Options & Support and then click Information Center. The driver version is listed under System Information drop-down menu. If you have older graphics driver, click the Information button at bottom left corner. Or click the
button in the upper right corner of the window. The Information dialog opens and on the System tab, the graphics driver version is listed in the Driver Version field. Check Windows Device Manager (View video tutorial.)
- Click Start.
- Select Control Panel (or Settings and Control Panel). The Control Panel window opens.
- Double-click System. The System Properties window opens. If System is not listed, click Switch to Classic View in the left navigation bar and then double-click System.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the plus (+) icon appearing in front of the Display adapters icon to expand this section.
- Select and double-click the display adapter with the Intel name. If more than one display adapter is listed, double-click the first one. The Properties window opens.

- Select the Driver tab.
- On the driver tab, the version number is listed in the Driver Version field.
