Requirements to Support Hyper-Threading Technology
Hyper-Threading Technology for the desktop requires a computer system with an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor at 3.06 GHz or higher, an Intel® chipset and BIOS that utilizes this technology, and an operating system that includes optimization for this technology. Performance will vary depending on the specific hardware and software you use. See http://www.intel.com/products/ht/hyperthreading_more.htm for more information.
Do I Need to Upgrade my Intel® Extreme Graphics Driver? Intel® Extreme Graphics drivers version PV 11.3.3 (build 3245), PV 11.4 (build 3264), and later have been validated to support Hyper-Threading Technology. See How to identify your graphics/video driver version to determin your current version. As there are no plans to validate HT Technology on previous driver versions, Intel recommends upgrading to the latest Intel Extreme Graphics driver available for your system.
Intel® 845G Chipset Requirements A revision, or B-step, to the Intel® 845G chipset was released to support Hyper-Threading Technology. The A-step version of the Intel 845G chipset does not support Hyper-Threading Technology. Please refer to either your motherboard manufacturer or place of purchase to determine which stepping is on your motherboard. Error processing SSI file
