Windows* NT 4.0 starts in VGA mode on Dell* Dimension* 2300 or 2350 systems

Symptom(s):

Microsoft Windows NT* 4.0 starts in VGA mode (640x480 with 16 colors) on Dell Dimension* 2300 and 2350 systems after the Windows* service pack and Intel® graphics drivers have been installed.

Cause:
This has been identified as an issue with certain versions of the BIOS for these systems.

Solution:
Check the Dell* Web site to see if an update to the system BIOS is available.
