Issue:
When installing Microsoft* Plus! For Windows* XP, a message appears that says:
"Some of the features in Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP require a video adapter with at least 16megabytes of video memory. The video adapter for your computer's primary monitor does not have enough video memory to run these features..."
As a result, several of the games and digital media features cannot be installed.
Explanation:
The Intel® 82830M graphics controller supports up to 64 MB of video memory, depending on the amount of system memory installed. 32 MB is available on systems with less than 129 MB of system memory. Graphics drivers prior to PV 10.2.1 (build 2992) reported 8 MB of video memory or less back to the software. Newer graphics drivers (PV 10.2.1 or later) now report 32 MB of video memory available.
Solution:
This issue has been resolved with the release of the PV 10.2.1 (or later) graphics driver.
