The Intel® Active Management (Intel® AMT) password is automatically synchronized with the software management password.
| Note |
Using any other method to change the Intel® AMT password will break the synchronization. The common error message shown on the Serveur Intel® Hybrid Cloud Manager is: HW Mgmt is not responding or network may be incorrectly configured. Retry. |
|
If the synchronization is broken, the following steps can be taken to re-synchronize the passwords.
- Start the Intel Hybrid Cloud Server Manager.
- Go to Configuration > Network Settings > Remote Network Interface, select HW Mgmt.
- Set network type to DHCP or Static depending on the network configuration.
- Type the IP, Netmask, Gateway, and DNS values.
- Click Update.
- Select Intel Hybrid Cloud. The following settings should be similar to HW Mgmt settings.
- Set network type to DHCP or Static depending on the network configuration.
- Type the IP, Netmask, Gateway and DNS values.
- Click Update.
- To synchronize passwords, Go to Configuration > Server Settings > Change Password. Type the old and new password.
- Click Change Password.
| Note |
Write down your passwords. Non-synchronized Intel AMT passwords cannot be recovered. The Intel® Hybrid Cloud server must be returned to the reseller to reset the Intel AMT password. |
|
If changes to the Intel AMT/ME password, configuration, or provisioning of the Hardware renders Intel AMT/ME unusable:
- The Managed Services Provider agrees to be responsible for all costs associated with reimaging that Hardware.
- This responsibility includes shipping to and from the system builder.
